
2025 Chili and Soup Cook Off
to benefit the LC DockHounds Foundation

Get ready to spice things up at the inaugural Chili and Soup Cook Off to benefit the LC DockHounds Foundation, presented by Performance Foodservice! This sizzling event is happening on Saturday, March 15th from 11am-4pm inside the Club Level at WBC Park, hosted by none other than the Lake Country DockHounds.
You won’t want to miss the chance to savor some of the most mouthwatering chilis and soups whipped up by the talented Chef Sergio, the DockHounds’ very own Executive Chef, along with other culinary masters from the area and passionate community members. Your taste buds will be dancing with delight!
But that’s not all – you’ll have the opportunity to cast your vote for the ultimate chili and soup champions. Who knows? Maybe one of the daring participants will even dethrone Chef Sergio himself in a battle of flavors that’s sure to be legendary.
Throughout the day, you can kick back and enjoy live music, quench your thirst with refreshing drinks and Lake Louie Brewing draft beers from the bar, and indulge in a tantalizing Bloody Mary bar featuring Lake Louie chasers. It’s a party for your palate!

And the best part? The proceeds from this delectable event will go towards the LC DockHounds Foundation, providing scholarships to local athletes and aspiring sports industry students. So, come hungry, leave happy, and support a great cause!
LOOKING TO ENTER YOUR OWN CHILI OR SOUP?
Participant Entry Registration info:
– $30 per participant/team ($45 if you want to enter both a soup and a chili)
– Must be Homemade
– No store-bought or pre-packaged mixes allowed
– Participants may enter chili, soup or both
Chefs Challenge:
– The DockHounds Chef will submit 1 chili and 1 soup into the competition, if your dish beats the Chef’s in either category, you will receive a special “I Beat the Chef” Prize
Setup and serving:
– Participants must arrive at least 1 hour before the event
– Dishes must be kept warm using a crockpot or similar device
– Provide enough samples for at least 200 people
– Guest tickets will be sold in advance, with an estimated attendance number provided to participants 4 days before the event
Judging:
– Flavor (30%)
– Texture and consistency (20%)
– Creativity (20%)
– Presentation (15%)
– Crowd Favorite Votes (15%)
Celebrity Judging:
– A panel of local celebrity judges will score the dishes based on the above criteria
– Attendees will have the chance to vote for their favorites in both categories
Safety Guidelines:
– All dishes must be prepared in a clean, sanitary environment
– Participants must provide a full ingredient list (For allergy awareness)
Deadline for Entry:
– All participants must register by February 28th
Awards:
– Best Chili or Soup – 1st and 2nd place prizes
